This is the first in a new series of very competitively priced tractor
books from Voyageur Press, the publisher which virtually invented the concept
of the gift book for tractor enthusiasts. This is a photographic survey of some
of the greatest tractors built in the last century. Each full colour photograph
in the book is accompanied by a detailed caption. The book contains the usual
Voyageur Press mix of superb colour photographs, rare archival images and
extracts from brochures produced by the various manufacturers to promote and
sell their tractors. All of this at a very affordable price. The book covers
most famous North American built machines and many famous European marques are
also represented. Organised chronologically, it also provides a simple way for
relative newcomers to this fascinating area, to understand the history of farm
tractors and how the machines evolved over the years. Among the marques covered
in book are, John Deere, Ford, Farmall, Massey Harris, Case, Oliver, Allis
Chalmers and Caterpillar.
