Michelle Harrison lives in Essex and has a son, Jack, and three cats: Marmite, Sorsha and Widdershins. Her first novel, The Thirteen Treasures, won the Waterstones Children's Book Prize and was followed by The Thirteen Curses and The Thirteen Secrets. Michelle has since written One Wish, a prequel to The Thirteen Treasures books; The Other Alice, which won the Calderdale Book of the Year Award; and the bestselling Pinch of Magic Adventures: A Pinch of Magic, A Sprinkle of Sorcery, A Tangle of Spells, and A Storm of Sisters. David Tazzyman is an internationally acclaimed award-winning illustrator. Born and raised in Leicester, David wanted to be an artist from the age of 5. He graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1993, then travelled around Asia with sketchbooks for 3 years, before moving to London in 1997. David worked as a commercial illustrator before falling into children's publishing in 2006, illustrating Andy Stanton's Mr Gum series which went on to win numerous awards, including the first Roald Dahl Funny Prize in 2008. He has illustrated many children's books since, including Eleanor's Eyebrows, You Can't Take An Elephant On The Bus, The Truth According to Arthur, The Pet, Donut Diaries, Circus Of Thieves and Einstein the Penguin. He now lives in Leicestershire with his partner and 3 children. David likes drawing a lot. He also likes football, cricket, music, holidays and biscuits. He still does not like celery.
