– Boka er anlagt som en pensumbok. Den forteller om hvordan psykologien har prøvd å hanskes med 'intelligens' gjennom 120 år, ikke minst når det gjelder muligheten for å teste og måle IQ. Dette er en grunnleggende bok for alle som interesserer seg for fenomenet intelligens, og et godt utgangspunkt for videre lesning. Boka er kanskje ikke direkte underholdende, men intelligens er uansett et fascinerende fenomen, og man føler seg faktisk mer intelligent etter å ha lest denne boka. Kanskje blir det også enklere å oppnå godt resultat på en IQ-test når man vet hva som ligger til grunn for slike tester.
