– This is without a doubt the most funny and freaky book I own about interior design and modern style, finding its seed in the more eccentric and kind of weird British design and homes, from bedrooms covered with the color red or yellow, or perhaps a kitchen where everything is orange and black! I have to admit that I'm not sure if I could have lived in such rooms, but I do know I very much admire and dig them! This book has a lot of humour and passion, very nice pictures and loads of tradition and new thoughts and ideas! A fun, fresh and different outtake on modern design!

Private houses, museums, restaurants, pubs, a former cinema, and numerous little-known treasures jostle for attention in this beautifully photographed collection of weird and wonderful interiors in England. Les mer
Historical fantasies sit alongside glorious 21st-century expressions of maximalism, from Walpole's stunning 'little play-thing house' at Strawberry Hill in Twickenham to the newly opened Great John Street Hotel in Manchester where the style is joyfully described as 'New York meets vintage chic.' Quirky, intellectual, stylish or humorous, all the interiors in this book serve as a glorious testimony to the richly creative tradition of English eccentricity, past and present.
