He has published over 20 books including: How to Survive Anything, Anywhere, Special Forces Endurance Techniques, First Aid Survival Manual and The Handbook of Urban Survival. He lives in Wales. Martin J. Dougherty is a freelance writer and editor specializing in military and defence topics. His published works deal with subjects ranging from the history of small arms to naval warfare and private security. He has written or contributed to Small Arms, Battles of the Medieval World, The World's Worst Weapons and Battles of the Ancient World.
