Om forfatteren
Mark is a freelance author and series editor with over 25 years of experience, specialising in science textbooks and educational materials for schools (for the 11–16 age group). His educational writing career started in the classroom, with the desire to offer students better learning materials. He has worked in many markets around the world, most extensively in the UK and Middle East, and spent the last few years working on projects to support IGCSE and International GCSE curricula.
John brings over 20 years of science teaching experience to his writing career, across UK and international curricula, including International GCSE and the International Baccalaureate. John has extensive examining experience and has been involved in curriculum development with bodies in England and Wales, another European country and an African country. He has written textbooks for GCSE Biology and Science and BTEC Science, and A Level-equivalent texts for the Middle Eastern market.
Amanda is an experienced science teacher who taught all three subjects of the IGCSE syllabus in Botswana for several years. Her PhD focused on biophysics. She currently works in science education publishing, as an author and editor for UK publishers and for science education commissioners from US, UAE, India and Spain. She is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and has extensive experience of authoring assessment material across all three sciences.
Anne has authored curriculum materials for the UAE, China, Nigeria and Ghana, and gifted and talented teaching and learning materials for the A Level Biology equivalent for Saudi Arabia. In the UK Anne has worked on Collins KS3 and KS4 Science textbooks, and a variety of GCSE materials for other publishers. Anne is also a Senior Examiner with an awarding organisation, a Chartered Science Teacher and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors.
Mike has written and edited many Science books and other teaching and learning resources, from Key Stage 3 to A Level, including a large number for IGCSE and GCSE, for Collins and other major publishers.
