«Demography for Business Decisions Making is an excellent primer on business demographics. . . . [T]here is much here of value to anyone using demographic data in a commercial context. Overall, the book provides thought-provoking ideas for advanced practitioners trying to expand their technical repertoire." - ^X^BBusiness Geographics^R»

«This is an excellent book for long-term business planners, business decision makers, and academic professors and researchers." - Journal of Consumer Marketing»

«This highly technical but practical work attempts to link the abstract world of demographic research with the practical implications of that research for business decision making. . . . Demographic information has been recognized as particularly valuable in the development and implementation of marketing strategies as well as forecasting and planning for broader based business decision making. Demography is now even more important because of the changing structure of business organizations and their use of outsourcing and consultants to perform tasks previously fulfulled by corporate managers. Pol and Thomas provide useful coverage of fundamental topics, including migration, fertility, mortality and morbidity, population measurements, and estimates and projections in business demography. As the relationship between demography and business evolves further, demographic data and studies will be firmly mebedded in the business curriculum. This pioneering text is a first step in illuminating what will become an essential component of business decision making." - Choice»
