– If you consider to read this book because you love John Grishams courtroom novels, this is not necessarily the book you want. This book is about Neely Crenshaw who comes home after 15 years. Neely is an old All-American football hero from a town that not so much loves, but is obsessed with football. Neely's old coach Eddie Rake is dying, and he wants to say good-bye to him. Rake wasn't exactly soft on his players in his days.. We follow Neely when he is trying to get over the fact that he is a has-been football-wise, and trying to forgive his old coach.
This is a good story, and you will like it even more if you like football. As for me, I prefer courthouse dramas to this book.
