– This is the third installment in Stieg Larsson's widely acclaimed Millennium trilogy, and it certainly saddens me that this is the last one! The most important thing to know about this book is that it is basically the second half of a whole which "The Girl Who Played with Fire" kicked off - so it's really important to have read that one first! The action kicks off seconds after the end of the second book, with Lisbeth Salander in a critical condition, Blomkvist hot on the heels of her attacker, and Lisbeth's murderous father in the same hospital, determined to exact revenge upon his daughter. I don't want to give away the plot, but the story follows Blomkvist, Lisbeth and Erika Berger, a primary character in all three books, as they fight for justice on various counts. The Millennium trilogy consists of the following three titles: 1. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo 2. The Girl Who Played with Fire 3. The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest I do believe it's of high importance that you read them in this order, enjoying the brilliant writing style and characters created by Stieg Larsson!
