– Denne boken fikk en god del oppmerksomhet i norsk (og sikkert internasjonal) presse da den kom ut tidligere i år. Selv hadde jeg lest Peter Doggett sin tidligere bok "Are you ready for the country?", som jeg likte svært godt, så jeg hadde store forventninger til denne nye boken hans. Jeg liker resultatet! 60-tallets politiske, kulturelle og ikke minst musikalske klima er jo spennende i seg selv, og det blir ikke noe mindre spennende når det blir utforsket av denne glimrende rocke-journalisten! Han skriver tett, engasjerende, og, tør jeg si det, "rocka"! Det beste kriteriet for å vurdere en slik bok er hvorvidt man får lyst til å ta frem gamle plater. Det fikk jeg da jeg leste denne!
