David A. Gemmell's first novel, Legend, was first published in 1984 and went on to become a classic. His most recent Drenai and Rigante novels are available as Corgi paperbacks; all are Sunday Times bestsellers.

Widely regarded as the finest writer of heroic fantasy, David Gemmell lived in Sussex until his tragic death in July 2006.

– Denne boken var den første Gemmell-boken jeg noen gang leste, og jeg ble avhengig på stedet. Boken er full av spenning og har en god storyline, det er også enkelt å følge med på handlingen. Gode karakterbeskrivelser gjør det også lett å forestille seg personene og handlingen som foregår rundt om personene. Denne boken passer for de fleste aldre, men jeg vil anbefale den fra 11 år og opp, i og med at den er absolutt best på engelsk. Så hvis du føler at din engelsk er stødig nok og du liker fantasy, er denne boken absolutt noe for deg! Ha det gøy!
