– Boken inneholder et tyvetalls kapitler om ulike grammatiske emner. Den gir en fin og grei oversikt over engelsk grammatikk. Siden det er umulig å inkludere alt under hvert kapittel og underkapittel, har boka mange henvisninger til andre kapitler og emner i boka. Dette er til god hjelp, men dekker likevel ikke alle spørsmål som dukker opp. Boka kunne med fordel vist flere alternativer og gitt flere eksempler. Verb har en sentral plass. Enkelte steder sier boka noe om hvilken tid av verbet som må brukes i gitte sammenhenger, men uten alltid å eksemplifisere. Et lite eksempel hadde gjort det hele mer forståelig og tydelig. Boka er et fint oppslagsverk, men du bør vite nøyaktig hva du leter etter. Det du vil vite, kan være godt gjemt som et underkapittel. Og det er en fordel å kjenne den grammatiske terminologien; hvis ikke, kan du risikere å lete lenge.
